A grand prize drawing at 8:30 a.m. <br /> fe tures a Fuji B ulevard bicycle donated by WheelWorks bicycle shop located at 407 W. 11~' Ave in <br /> E gene. <br /> People P eyed Fridays is an annual summer promotion that encourages non-motorized methods <br /> of transportation educing impact on the transportation system. The benefits include improved air quality, <br /> I proved fitness r those who participate, a reduction in traffic congestion and, if sustained, a reduction in <br /> ~-o d degradation People Powered Fridays is for residents and commuters in the Eugene area who are <br /> In erested in havi g fun during their commute while improving the livability of the community. All that is <br /> re uested of parti ipants is a commitment to bike, walk, or use some other manual alternative to driving one <br /> id y each week d ring the summer months. <br /> Registrati ns for People Powered Fridays are accepted on the City of Eugene website <br /> .ci.eugene. r.us); at all three Eugene Public Library branches; at Sheldon, Amazon, and Echo Hollow <br /> jp ols, and at ea h of the grand prize donors' retail locations: WheelWorks, Paul's Bicycle Way of Life, <br /> ~C Ilins Cycle Sh p, and REI.
