Interested volunteers are asked to meet <br /> t the F.M. Wilki s Shelter at 2200 Summit Avenue at 9:30 a.m. to enjoy pastries, coffee and juice courtesy <br /> f the Eugene C ty Bakery and the Friends of Hendricks Park before heading to the forest and trails. <br /> Voluntee will tie instructed in techniques for removing non-native, invasive plants while protecting <br /> t e native plant of the fiorest. Controlling the spread of invasive weeds in the forest is one of the main <br /> bjectives of th Hendrtcks Park Forest Management Plan. By removing the ivy and other invasive plants, <br /> he native speci s have a better opportunity to reproduce and flourish in the forest.
