This effort wHl promote the regeneration of wildflowers by <br /> h (ping control th spread of herb Robert and nipplewort-fin?o invasive, non-native weeds-from roadsides <br /> a d trails. As a b nus at the end of the work party, volunteers will have the opportunity to sow native camas <br /> s ed, both in the ark's mative plant nursery and the oak knoll area. Interested volunteers are asked to meet <br /> a the F.M. Wllki s Sheq~er at 2200 Summit Avenue at 9:30 a.m. to enjoy pastries, coffee and juice courtesy <br /> the Eugene Ci Bakery and the Friends of Hendricks Park before heading to the forest and trails. <br /> Voluntee will f1e instructed in techniques for removing non-native, invasive plants while protecting <br /> t e native plants of the forest. Controlling the spread of invasive weeds in the forest is one of the main <br /> bjectives of the Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan. By removing the ivy and other invasive plants, <br /> e native spec s have. a better opportunity to reproduce and flourish in the forest.
