The workshop will give residents an
opportunity to generate design ideas for Crest Drive, Storey Boulevard and Friendly Street.
In p eparation for the meeting, more than 200 residents and other interested parties
received a acket of information including responses to questions raised at a public meeting on
August 10. Copies of the packet materials and other information are available online at
www.ci.eug ne.or.us/pw/crest.
A k y question in the discussion around street classification in the Crest Drive area is
whether so a streets should be designed as "neighborhood collectors." The outreach effort is
being coor inated by the Eugene Public Works Engineering Division to ensure the Eugene City
Council rec fives broad, representative input in the decision-making process and that citizens,
particularly those who feel they have the greatest stake in the outcome, receive clear and
accurate in ormation on the impacts of street classification decisions. The Council is scheduled
to consider street classifications in the Crest Drive area at a work session on October 25.
For more information, contact Gary McNeel in Public Works Engineering at 682-8451 or
by email at gary.a.mcneel@ci.eugene.or.us.
Publi Works • Administration • City of Eugene • 858 Pearl Street • Eugene, OR 97401
Phone: (541) 682-5262 • FAX: (541) 682-6826 • vwvw.ci.eugene.or.us
