AA interested community members are invited to help Lions volunteers maintain the <br /> tr it and overlook n the northern section of Delta Ponds and, for the first time, cut willow whips and plug the <br /> n tive willows aro nd the edge of the pond. Snacks, gloves and tools will be provided. The site of the work <br /> p rty is just north of the Valley River Center on Goodpasture Island Road. Parking is available at the first <br /> p It-out after the I st car~dealership on the right. <br /> The proje is past of the City of Eugene's Stream Team program that facilitates adoptions of City <br /> w tlands, Ovate ys and other natural areas by local community groups. The Downtown Lions Ciub <br /> a opted the Delta Ponds nature trail in 1997 and has organized a major work party every spring and fall <br /> si ce. The club is commuted to maintaining and restoring the trail through the ponds on the east side of <br /> G dpasture Isla d Road.
