The volunteers will <br /> b building raised cedar~eds, weeding, and clearing blackberries from the site of the new nursery, located <br /> in Alton Baker Pa at thr~ east end of the park just behind the new Alton Baker Community Gardens off of <br /> i <br /> D y Island Road. <br /> t <br /> Stream T m prdvides the opportunity for members of the community, from elementary-age children <br /> 4 <br /> to college studen to older adults, to do hands-on environmental work, restoring and caring for the aty's <br /> w terways and n tural meas. Volunteers will be needed at future work parties at the new native plant <br /> n rsery. When th proje+~t is completed, the nursery, like its sister nursery located near the City's <br /> w stewater plant, will be~volunteer-run and produce native plants destined to enhance natural areas all over <br /> th city.
