Morning refreshments and lunch will be <br /> p ovided. An acti ity zone featuring RiverPlay exhibits will be available for the entertainment of younger <br /> c ildren. The pla ground site is located across from 210 Cheshire on the north side of Skinner Butte. <br /> Constru on of the hands-on, state-of--the-art playground is scheduled to begin in spring 2005. The <br /> p ayground will in lude a variety of unique play elements such as a play replica of Skinner Butte, an ancient <br /> h story sand dig, iniature Willamette River, and Kalapuya and pioneer villages. <br /> The' proje t is funded in part by the 1998 parks and open space bond measure, but, in order to <br /> r alize the fulls pe of the vision, donations of cash, labor and materials are needed from the community. <br /> he Eugene Ro ry Clua, in partnership with the City, has pledged to help fund and build the playground. <br /> o far over $155 000 in grants and in-kind and cash donations has been raised.
