On~October 30, Wiley joined Stream Team volunteers to help construct the first <br /> st rage shed at t e nursery. "Nick and his father, Chris Wiley, both picked up hammers to lighten the load <br /> f those finishing up the ifirst shed and got a good idea of the challenge they and the scouts are facng this <br /> S turday," says Idwin.:"This is pretty complex for an Eagle Scout project, but Chris has a very positive, <br /> n-do attitude a d will b~ bringing some experienced carpenters to the task along with the Scouts from his <br /> tr op." <br /> According to Baictirvin, the original Native Plant Nursery located near the wastewater treatment plant <br /> is overflowing wit stock.! The completed shed will provide Stream Team volunteers with more space to <br /> s re tools, seed and otlger equipment needed to run this new nursery and give hundreds of plants a new <br /> h me. The new ursery,like its sister nursery, will be volunteer-run and produce native plants destined to <br /> e hance natural reas alb over the city. <br /> Stream T am provides the opportunity for members of the community, from elementary-age children <br /> t college studen to older adults, to do hands-on environmental work, restoring and caring for the city's <br /> terways and n tural areas.
