Meet a ~ Amazon Creek behind the lane County Fairgrounds off of 13~' Avenue. The trees <br /> nd shrubs for a proje are being provided by the Lane County Fairgrounds and Stream Team's <br /> olunteer-run N tive Plat Nursery. <br /> "Stream eam vglunteers and neighbors have been working on this segment of the creek for the <br /> ast two years, nd thei {efforts have made a noticeable difference." says Stream Team Coordinator Lorna <br /> aldwin. <br /> Voluntee are encouraged to dress for the weather and the mud. Tools, gloves and plants will be <br /> p ovided. Strea Team provides the opportunity for members of the community, from elementary-age <br /> ildren to colleg studeahts to older adults, to do hands-on environmental work, restoring and caring for the <br /> f <br /> c s waterways nd nat~rrai areas.
