The 3.3-acre neighborhood park, located off of Naismith Boulevard north of <br /> I 'ngton Drive, s pur~hased by the City from the developer of the surrounding neighborhood in 1999 for <br /> u e as a rieighbo ood ark. The park was purchased with 1998 parks and open space bond measure <br /> f nds. Constructs n is s~heduled for summer 2006. <br /> i <br /> The neig borhoo~d planning workshop will focus on gathering ideas for a new park design. Basic <br /> i <br /> n ighbofiood pa facili 'es include: a children's play area, accessible pathways, park furniture such as <br /> nches, picnic bias, and trash receptacles, and open space for recreation and relaxation. Partiapants <br /> ill help decide w these features will fit into the park, as well as discuss other options such as lighting, <br /> i <br /> i 'gation, a shel r, natural area preservation and restoration, trees, landforms, and art.
