This Sunday, November <br /> 2 ,from 10 a.m. 0 1 p.m., the UO students will help Eugene Stream Team enhance a stretch of riverbank <br /> a ong the Willa tte River near Autzen Footbridge by grubbing out blackberries and planting riparian <br /> s ces from the rogrann's volunteer-run Native Plant Nursery. The Greeks will build on the efforts <br /> i vested by othe UO student groups in this area, heavily trafficked and used for recreational activities by <br /> O students. <br /> "Our frat ity had such a great time working with Stream Team previously that we talked to the <br /> rority across t e millrace from us and asked if they'd like to volunteer with us," says Casey Doolin, <br /> resident of the hi Psi Fraternity. He is expecting a large turn-out--close to 40-50 students. <br /> The site f Sunday's project is just downstream from the Autzen Footbridge next to the soccer fields. <br /> Dols, gloves an snacks will be provided. Stream Team provides the opportunity for people to do hands- <br /> n environment 1 work, restoring and caring for the city's waterways and natural areas.
