Volunteers are needed to help plant 35 trees including big leaf maple, northern red oak, <br /> catalpa, London plane, and Oregon ash along Harlow Road between Honeysuckle Lane and Calvin Street. <br /> Irjterested neighbors and other community members should meet at 9 a.m. at the comer of Calvin Street <br /> ahd Harlow Road near Bertha Holt Elementary School. <br /> "The Red Lion Hotel is a new tree planting partner this year," says Rick Olkowski, NeighborWoods <br /> Coordinator. "This project works great for them because they are doing this work in their own neighborhood <br /> ads the Red Lion is located on Coburg Road." <br /> Tools, gloves, safety gear, and refreshments will be provided. The NeighborWoods program works <br /> kith local businesses, school groups, community groups, and neighbors to build Eugene's urban forest and <br /> improve water quality by planting street trees.
