Your mission should you choose to accept it? To rejuvenate the <br /> ~ip ria~n forest along the Willamette River by planting another 600 native trees and shrubs. <br /> "More than 40 volunteers planted about 600 trees last Saturday, and students from the Rachel <br /> C rsorl education center followed up earlier this week and planted another 100 trees,." says Stream Team <br /> rdinator Loma Baldwin. "With the later start time, we're hoping.to attract those volunteers who prefer to <br /> $i p-in on Saturdays!" <br /> Any interested community members should meet organizers at the start of the work party in the last <br /> p rkir'~g lot to the right off of Leo Harris Parkway behind Autzen Stadium. The group will then carpool <br /> i <br /> th ouch the park to the Knickerbocker Bridge. Tools, gloves and snacks will be provided. Clothing and <br /> i <br /> is oes appropriate for the weather and rugged conditions are recommended. <br /> Stream Team provides the opportunity for people to do hands-on environmental work, restoring and <br /> ~ rind for the city's waterways and natural areas.
