The students will finish the job 80 volunteers undertook over the <br /> last two weekends of planting 1,300 native trees and shrubs along the river in an effort to create a wide <br /> ri~ari~n corridor. <br /> Rachel Carson students work with Stream Team every two weeks during the academic year as part <br /> their requirements to complete their certificate of advanced mastery program in natural resources. The <br /> plrog~am combines research and study with hands-on restoration work in the community. <br /> Stream Team provides the opportunity for people of all ages to do hands-on environmental work, <br /> i'rd~est¢ring and caring for the city's waterways and natural areas.
