The plants to be used in the project were grown-out at <br /> tfe program's volunteer-run native plant nurseries. This project, along with several others this past winter, <br /> will 9o a long way towards rejuvenating the riparian forest atlong the river. Interested volunteers can park off <br /> Leo Hams Parkway in the lot right across from the main entrance to Autzen Stadium and follow the signs to <br /> the north end of Autzen Footbridge. <br /> "The digging is easy-in nice, loamy soils," says Stream Team Coordinator Loma Baldwin. "Thanks <br /> I ~o many Stream Team volunteers, we have planted over 1,500 trees along the river in the past month!" <br /> Tools, gloves and snacks will be provided. Clothing and shoes appropriate for the weather and <br /> ,rugged conditions are recommended. Stream Team provides the opportunity for people to do hands-on <br /> i <br /> ienvironmental work, restoring and caring for the at)r's waterways and natural areas.
