The group, comprised of people of all ages, will meet at the <br /> new Native Plant Nursery in Alton Baker Park, located off of Day Island Road near the new community <br /> gardens and the dog park, and then fan out to work on one of the following projects-building raised beds, <br /> transplanting seedlings, planting nectar plants for buttErflies, and removing non-native vegetation from the <br /> banks of the Willamette River. <br /> "The students and teachers have been discussing water and the environment <br /> the integrated web of <br /> life--each Sunday for weeks now and are really ready for ahands-on contribution," says Loma Baldwin, <br /> Stream Team Coordinator. <br /> Stream Team provides the opportunity for people to do hands-on environmental work, restoring and <br /> caring for the city's waterways and natural areas.
