The draft <br /> Cdncept plan was prepared based on the results of the first public workshop held in late May. Funded by the <br /> 198 parks and open space bond measure, the proposed improvements include a renovated playground, <br /> new park furniture, access improvements, trees and shrubs. In this follow-up session, participants will have <br /> ~h~ opportunity to review the results of the first workshop, discuss the draft concept plan and help prioritize <br /> irr~pravements. The workshop will be held at the Sheldon Community Center, 2445 Witlakenzie Road. <br /> The 1.9 acre park currently includes a children's play area, hard-surface paths, a horseshoe court, <br /> ;lawn areas, trees and shrubs. Neighborhood parks, which serve residents within about half-mile (10-minute) <br /> walking distance, include the following: a children's play area, accessible pathways, park fumiture such as <br /> 'bl~nches, picnic tables, trash receptacles, and open space for recreation and relaxation.
