The Parks and Open Space Division is just $13,400 dollars away <br /> fr m their "One rick at o Time" campaign goal to raise $100,000 before the grand opening <br /> c lebration. Ove the past year, community members have participated in the campaign by <br /> p~,rchasing perso alined bricks at $100 each, raising over $86,000. These bricks inscribed in <br /> h~nor and in me ory of friends and family will line the entryway to the playground creating v <br /> p$rmanent testa ent to the people who helped make it a reality. The community is invited to <br /> p~?rchase and ins ribe one of the remaining 134 bricks by this Friday, March 31 ~ by calling the <br /> Ri{verPlay Hotline at 682-4907. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> Reflecting theme of our area's natural and cultural history, this fully accessible playground will <br /> felature a Pionee Village, Little Willamette River, Ancient History Sand Dig, and a 25-foot play <br /> st~ucture represe ting Skinner Butte. With the help of the Downtown Rotary Club, a total of over <br /> $#40,000 has b en raised through local individuals and businesses. On Saturday, July 8'h the <br /> c mmunity will b invited to an afternoon of ribbon cutting, dedications, games, prizes, music, <br /> f od, and much ore! <br /> ~~ferPlvy <br /> . <br /> <br />
