In an effort to create a <br /> healthie urban environment, the Governor of Durango is looking to create an urban forestry <br /> progra throughout the state, which is the fourth largest in the country and has a population <br /> of over ne million. The Governor discovered Eugene's expansive urban forestry program and <br /> asked if he City would be willing to share best practices. <br /> he delegation will be touring Eugene's parks and natural areas; looking at hazard <br /> tree rem val; observing the City's use of GIS to frock trees; and meeting community partners <br /> such as a Eugene Tree Foundation.
