"Tiny Park" highlights the work of the department's <br /> 'I Parks and O en Space Division, "Tiny Town" teaches children how to be safe in traffic, "Wafer <br /> World" featu es stormwater and wastewater services, and the "Equipment Rodeo" gives people of all <br /> III ages a chan to sit behind the wheel of a dump truck, a street sweeper, mowers, back hoes, giant <br /> cranes, and then Public Works equipment. <br /> Othe displays and activities include an interactive look at the airport's security system, a <br /> trailer ride th ough the Public Works "backyard," group photos framed on a picture of a manhole <br /> cover, and le ming how police cars and fire engines are maintained. <br /> Over 1,400 schoolchildren and hundreds of adults have signed up for tours at the Public <br /> Works Open House. A free brochure also makes it easy for participants to take aself-guided tour. <br /> Vehi le and bike parking is available at the Roosevelt Yard, and the LTD bus #40 Royal has <br /> service to 18 and Roosevelt every 30 minutes.
