l <br /> <br /> i~ MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT <br /> DANEBO SCHOOL ATHLETIC FIELD WATER SUPPLY <br /> City Contract Number: 2002-00234 . <br /> Background <br /> The Bethel School District and the City of Eugene have participated in a partnership to construct <br /> athletic fields on the south side of Danebo School for joint use by the District and the City. The <br /> City has renovated the field turf and provided an automatic irrigation system. The District has <br /> agreed to maintain the field turf and irrigation system. The permanent source of the water supply <br /> for the irrigation system has been unresolved while the District has processed an application for a <br /> well permit on the site. The water supply is currently a temporary EWEB water meter installed <br /> by the City which will require the payment of System Development Charges to EWEB to make <br /> the meter permanent. The District desires to install a well for the permanent water supply. <br /> Agreement <br /> The City agrees to pay the School District up to $35,000 to establish a permanent water supply <br /> for the automatic irrigation system. The supply may be installation of a well, making the existing <br /> water meter permanent by payment of SDC charges, or a combination of both. The District will <br /> be responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and accomplishing the work. The District has <br /> received a permit for a well from the Oregon State Water Resources Department for the site. <br /> Payment <br /> The City will make payment upon receipt of invoices documenting the work completed or <br /> payments made up to a maximum of $35,000. <br /> Contacts <br /> City: Louis Kroeck District: Pat Bradshaw <br /> 244 E.
