continued <br /> SECTION XII FIRE REGULATIONS <br /> 9. STORAGE OF FLAMMABLE PRODUCTS; No person shall store or keep oils <br /> greases, methanol alcohol, alcohol, ethylene glycol, hydraulic <br /> fluids, dopes, paints, or any other flammable substance in any <br /> building on the airport, except in a ventilated, fire proof roan <br /> of 6 inch concrete block construction 3.n which an automatic, rate <br /> of rise temperature controlled, approved carbon dioxide or dry <br /> chemical overhead fire extinguisher shall have been installed and <br /> in containers which shall be bonded. ' <br /> Withdrawal of such products shall be by pump only, and gravity <br /> flow will not be permitted. <br /> Gasoline shall not be stored on the airport except in areas specifi- <br /> cally provided. Exception shall be that materials may be kept in <br /> aircraft in the proper receptacles installed in the aircraft. <br /> 10. ALTERNATE TO ITEM q: Tenants whose requirements do not warrant full <br /> compliance with Item 9 above, may store the same flammables listed <br /> therein, in storage cabinets in conformance with NBFU Pamphlet No. <br /> 30, as follows; <br /> Storage Cabinets <br /> "19. Storage cabinets may be used where it is desired <br /> to keep mora than 10 gallons of oils, varnishes, lac- <br /> quers or similar materials inside buildings, no in- <br /> dividual container to exceed 5 gallons capacity. Not <br /> over ~0 gallons should be stored in any one cabinet. <br /> Such cabinets shall be of construction conforming with <br /> or equivalent in fire resistance to the following re - <br /> quirements: ' <br /> "20. Bottom, top and sides of cabinet shall be made of <br /> .sheet iron at least No. 18 gauge in thickness and dou- <br /> ble walled with 1-1/2 inch air sAace. Joints shall be <br /> riveted, welded, or made tight by some equally efficient <br /> means. Doors shall be of construction equivalent to <br /> walls provided with 3-point loclc and kept closed when <br /> not in uses door sill shall be raised at least 2 <br /> inches above bottom of cabinet. Cabinet`ahall be con- <br /> spicuously labeled in red letters '~FLANAiABLE, KEEP FIRE <br /> AWAY, <br /> <br /> °~l. WELDING OR BURNING: No welding or burning will be permitted in any <br /> building except in a booth, room or area especially constructed <br /> for such purpose. <br /> -9 - <br /> <br />
