CITY FILE NO. -fig 'Jg 9 O/ <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER <br /> OF THE <br /> EXECUTIVE MANAGER OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARMENT <br /> City of Eugene, Oregon <br /> Under section 16(2) of the Eugene Charter, the City Manager is given authority <br /> to make purchases and act as the business agent for the City Council in <br /> connection with the sale of real estate and other business and commercial <br /> transactions. The City Manager desires to partially delegate this authority to <br /> <br /> the Executive Managers of the various city departments or their designees. <br /> It is the intention of the City to: <br /> A. Provide for uniform and consistent processing of contracts. <br /> B. Minimize the time and attention required of the City Manager for <br /> routine contracts. <br /> C. Clearly define areas of responsibility with regard to initiation, <br /> execution and administration of contracts. <br /> Based on the above, the City Manager orders that: <br /> 1. The City Manager delegates to the Executive Manager and such other <br /> departmental personnel as the Executive Manager shall designate the <br /> authority to execute contracts less than the following amount: <br /> Dollar Amount <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT $50,000 <br /> 2. Sub-delegation of contract signing authority shall be by <br /> administrative order of the Executive Manager and shall be filed with <br /> the City Recorder and Purchasing. <br /> 3. The Executive Manager delegates to the following positions contract <br /> authority as noted: <br /> Positions Amount <br /> No contracts in Public forks will be signed by anyone <br /> but Christine Andersen under $50,000. <br /> <br />
