CITY FILE ;;~.~__5~8 9Q--~ <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER <br /> OF THE <br /> PUBLIC WORKS EXECUTIVE MANAGER <br /> Under Admi istrative Order of the City Manager, the Public Works Executive <br /> Manager ha the delegated authority to execute contracts on behalf of the City <br /> of Eugene in the amount of $50,000 or less. This authority includes the <br /> execution f contract change orders which are within budget contingency for <br /> that contr ct or project, and are within change order guidelines of Public <br /> Contract A ministrative Rules. <br /> Based on t e above, the Public Works Executive Manager orders that: <br /> I. Publ c Works Division Managers shall be responsible to the Public Works <br /> Exec tive Manager for: the initiation, content, award, obtaining of <br /> sign tures, budgetary encumbrance, consistency with local budget law, <br /> fill g with the City Recorder, administration, and compliance with <br /> appl cable federal, state and local statutes and policies for contracts <br /> whic carry out the programs of their divisions. <br /> 2. All ublic Works contracts shall be submitted to the Public Works <br /> Exec tive Manager for execution. Contracts for amounts over $50,000 <br /> shal be initialed by the Public Works Executive Manager and signed by <br /> the ity Manager. <br /> 3. Any ontract submitted to the Public Works Executive Manager for <br /> exec Lion shall have the initials of the Division Manager who recommends <br /> exec tion of the contract. <br /> 4. The ity Engineer and Airport Manager shall have the authority to <br /> exec to change orders for construction contracts which are within budget <br /> contingency for that contract or project, and are within change order <br /> guid lines of the Public Contract Administrative Rules. Any change <br /> orde shall be consistent with applicable provisions of the original <br /> cont act.
