CITY FILE NO.- ~ " 9~ D <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER <br /> OF THE <br /> EXECUTIVE MANAGER OF THE <br /> City of Eugene, Oregon <br /> Under se tion 16(2) of the Eugene Charter, the City Manager is given authority <br /> to make urchases and act as the business agent for the City Council in <br /> connecti n with the sale of real estate and other business and commercial <br /> transact ons. The City Manager desires to partially delegate this authority <br /> to the E ecutive Managers of the various city departments or their designees. <br /> It is th intention of the City to: <br /> A. Provide for uniform and consistent processing of contracts. <br /> B, Minimize the time and attention required of the City Manager for <br /> routine contracts. <br /> C. Clearly define areas of responsibility with regard to initiation, <br /> execution and administration of contracts. <br /> Based on the above, the City Manager orders that: <br /> 1. The City Manager delegates to the Executive Manager and such other <br /> departmental personnel as the Executive Manager shall designate <br /> the authority to execute contracts less that the following amount: <br /> Dollar Amount <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT $ 50,000 <br /> 2. Sub-delegation of contract signing authority shall be by ad- <br /> ministrative order of the Executive Manager and shall be filed <br /> with the City Recorder and Purchasing. <br /> 3.
