<br /> ry .f ~I <br /> ADMIlVISTRATIVE ORDER NO. SS - g3 -19 <br /> of the <br /> City Manager <br /> City of Eugene, Oregon <br /> The City Manager of the City of Eugene finds that: <br /> A. Under the provisions of Chapter 1V, Section 16 of the Eugene Charter of <br /> 1976, the ity Manager is designated as the administrative head of the City, and is <br /> specifically authorized to appoint and remove all employees (except as otherwise provided <br /> in the Ch er), and to enforce all ordinances of the City. <br /> B. In conformity therewith, many provisions in Chapter 6 of the Eugene Code, <br /> 1971, auth rize or require certain specific duties or acts to be performed by the City <br /> Manager. any of those duties are administrative, and I have previously delegated the <br /> general pe ormance thereof to others. <br /> C. Notdvithstanding any prior delegations of authority to act on my behalii the <br /> Tree Prese ation provisions (6.300 to 6.330) and Industrial Pretreatment Program provisions <br /> {6.400 to 6 470) of Chapter 6 of the Eugene Code, 1971, are administered by the City's <br /> j Public Wor Department, and authority should therefore be delegated to the Director of <br /> that Dep ent, to carry out the City Manager's duties and responsibilities under those <br /> provisions, xcept those duties or responsibilities specifically reserved to the City Manager <br /> herein. <br /> D. The Director of the Public Works Department should also be specifically <br /> authorized o delegate all or any of the duties or responsibilities delegated herein upon <br /> finding it w uld be more efficient and in the public interest to do so. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF EUGENE ORDERS AND DIRECTS <br /> THAT: <br /> Bas on the above findings, which are hereby adopted, the Director of the Public <br /> Works Dep ent of the City of Eugene is hereby authorized to: <br /> 1. Perform and carry out the duties and responsibilities of the City Manager set <br /> forth in Sec 'ons 6.300 to 6.330 and 6.400 to 6.470 of the Eugene Code, 1971, except: <br /> 1.1 The adoption, amendment, or repeal of any rules authorized <br /> ther in to be adopted, amended or repealed by the City Manager; <br /> Administrative Order - 1 <br /> ~I ~,i <br /> <br />
