<br /> t , <br /> I <br /> NOTICE OF INTENDED RULEMAKING <br /> j PROPOSED AMENDMENT AND ADOPTION OF TEMPORARY TREE PRESERVATION <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE RULE R-6.305 AS A PERMANENT RULE <br /> i <br /> i <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the authority contained in Sections <br /> f' 2.b19 of the Eugene Code, 1971, Micheal D. Gleason, City Manager of the City of Eugene, <br /> intends to adopt as a permanent rule the Temporary Tree Preservation Administrative Rule <br /> R-6.305 adopted on October 12, 1993 which: <br /> Establishes definitions; tree felling permit application procedures; <br /> criteria for permit approval, including a revision to the Temporary Rule to <br /> provide that roads may not be constructed as part of a logging plan, and that <br /> motorized vehicles utilized to remove trees from lots must have rubber tires; <br /> appeal procedures; and exceptions to permit and criteria requirements. <br /> Ado tion of Tem ora Tree Preservation Administrative Rule R-6.305 as <br /> P P ry <br /> s a t u 's ' <br /> amen ed a a erm nen r le i m the ublic interest and necessa in order <br /> d P P ~ rY <br /> to ensure the continued enforcement of the City's tree preservation policies. <br /> The Proposed Tree Preservation Administrative Rule R-6.305, may be reviewed at <br /> the office of the City Manager, 777 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401 during normal <br /> business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, except holidays). <br /> All persons wishing to comment thereon or object thereto must submit their <br /> comments or objections to the City Manager, 777 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401, in <br /> writing, within fifteen (15) days of the date of the first publication hereof, as indicated below. <br /> T1~e City Manager will thereafter adopt as a permanent rule the Proposed Tree Preservation <br /> Administrative Rule R-6.305, as proposed, or as modified in response to comments received. <br /> MICHEAL D.
