` ` i~ ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-9405-F of the City Manager of the City of Eugene Tree Preservation Administrative Rule R-6305 Pursuant to the authority of Sections 2.019(5) and 6.300 to 6.330 of the Eugene Code, 1971, Temporary Tree Preservation Administrative Rule R-6.305, adopted by me on October 12, 1993 by Administrative Order No. 58-93-21, is hereby amended and adopted as a permanent rule, to provide: i TREE PRESERVATION ADMIlVISTRATIVE RULE R-6305 ' R-6305-A DEFINITIONS. As used herein, the following words and phrases mean: ~ Clear cut. Any harvest unit that leaves fewer than SO trees per acre that are well distnbuted over the unit and that measure at least 11 inches DBH or that measure less than 40 square feet of bawl area per acre. ,Dwelling. A building, or portion thereof occupied in whole or in part as a home, residence, or sleeping place, either permanently or temporarily by one or more families, but excluding group care facilities, hotels, motels and tourist courts. Fell. To remove or sever a tree or the intentional use of any procedure the natural result of which is to cause the death or substantial destruction of the tree. Fell djoes not in any context include those trimming and pruning standards as published by the National Arborists Association. LogginE clan. A document describing the equipment to be used on site, the access roads, grading, skid paths and any other environmental change that will be affected to permit logging, as well as mitigation efforts designed to protect from the !i negative effects of the logging process all wetlands, riparian zones, habitat, neighboring residences, and such other areas as the City Manager or designee determines is appropriate.
