NOTICE OF INTENDED INCREASE IN ~NASTE~YATER SERVICE CHAKGES <br /> To: The Mayor and City Councilors of the City of Eugene, and other interested persons. <br /> NOTICE IS HERE13l' GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.411 of the Eugene, Code, 1971, <br /> <br /> ~ Administrative Order No. ~&93-06 was issued by the City Manager of the City of Eugene on May I~, 1993. establishing <br /> monthly sewer user tees for for the fiscal year commencing .luly 1, 1993 and ending June 3U. 1994. <br /> The City Manager has investigated the City's current revenue needs and cost oC operation of the City's wastewater <br /> <br /> i <br /> service system and reviewed the recommendation of the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission (MWMC), and <br /> has proposed to increase the user fees for wastewater service, and regtonal wastewater treatment service as hereinafter set forth. <br /> 'I'lic proposed increases arc necessary in order to comply with the Council's directive that the costs of providing such services <br /> be recovered li•om the beneficiaries of the services, and other applicable policies and directives of the City Council; are <br /> consistent with a~tplicable federal and state regulations and the recommendations of MWMC; comparable to the amounts <br /> charged by the City of Springfield and other such service providers; preserve the equity between different classes of ratepayers; <br /> and are based on the proposed budget of the City and adopted budget of MWMC. <br /> The current monthly rites charged for N~astewater service; and regional wastewater treaUnent service and the rates <br /> I!~ proposed to be cffcetive .luly 1. 1994 a~ithin the City of Eugene's sen~ice area for such sen~ices both inside and outside the <br /> ~I City of Eugene are: <br /> RATE COMPONENT CURRENT RATE PROPOSED RATE <br /> RESIDENTIAL:: <br /> <br /> I 1'er Account Pee: <br /> <br /> I Ciq~ of Eugene: No Charge No Charge <br /> MWMC: $3.39 S3.» <br /> Sanitary Sewer Floti~-based Charge ner 1,000 Qallons of water used: <br /> <br /> I City of Eugene 50.95 SU.9~ <br /> MWMC: 5(1.821 SO.
