f <br /> NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF <br /> AMENDED PARK RULES <br /> NOTICE is hereby given that on June ~ 1994, Christine Andersen, Executive <br /> Director of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene, adopted amended Eugene <br /> Park Rules that: <br /> Clarify the intent that the rules are equally applicable to park lands, <br /> park facilities, and recreation facilities and programs; delete references to <br /> "PARCS Department;" provide more detail with respect to enforcement <br /> procedures; provide that persons violating park rules or conditions of licenses <br /> or permits for use of park land or facilities may be excluded from such use in <br /> the future; clarify the areas in which alcoholic beverages are prohibited; add <br /> a prohibition on smoking or the use of tobacco products within recreation <br /> centers and pools; add prohibitions with respect to setting up temporary <br /> structures within a park area; engaging in commercial or special uses of park <br /> areas or facilities without a permit and providing limitations thereon; <br /> prohibiting disruptive conduct, and conduct in violation of posted signs; <br /> engaging in any activity that results in park entrances or pathways being <br /> blocked; and authorizes the applicable Executive Director (PWD or LRCS) <br /> to temporarily waive any of the requirements of the rules, based on required <br /> findings. <br /> All persons desiring to comment thereon must submit the same in writing to the <br /> undersigned, at .the addre~ indicated, within ten days from the date of publication of this <br /> notice.
