•Y <br /> <br /> f <br /> r <br /> NOTICE OF INTENDED INCREASE IN WASTEWATER SERVICE CHARGES <br /> To: The Mayor and City Councilors of the City of Eugene, and other interested persons. <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.411 of the Eugene Code, 1971, Administrative <br /> prdet No. 58-95-05-F was issued by the City Manager of the City of Eugene on May 18, 1995, establishing monthly sewer user fees <br /> Affective July 1, 1995. <br /> ~ The City Manager has investigated the City's current revenue needs and cost of operation of the City's wastewater service <br /> ~ System and reviewed the recommendation of the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission (MWMC) staff, and has <br /> ~ proposed to increase the user fees for wastewater service, and regional wastewater treatment service as hereinafter set forth. The <br /> ~ropased increases are necessary in order to comply with the Council's directive that the costs of providing such services be recovered <br /> t~•om the beneficiaries of the services, and other applicable policies and directives of the City Council; are consistent with applicable <br /> f)rderal and state regulations and the recommendations of MWMC; comparable to the amounts charged by the City of Springfield <br /> ~ and other such service providers; preserve the equity between different classes of ratepayers; and are based on the proposed budgets <br /> of the City and MWMC.
