Administrative Order No. 58-98-16 <br /> Public Works Department <br /> City of Eugene, Oregon <br /> PROPOSING THE AMENDMENT OF PARK RULES <br /> ' 1.003, 1.007, 1.050, AND 1.070. <br /> The Ex utive Director of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene finds <br /> hat: <br /> A. suant to the prior authority of Section 2.812 gt s~.of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br /> subsequently r led) which authorized the City Manager or designee to adopt Park Rules, and <br /> dministrative rder No. 58-92-21 delegating authority for adoption of Park Rules to the Director <br /> f the Public W rks Department, on June 24, 1994 I issued Administrative Order No. 58-94-12 <br /> dopting amen d Park rules. <br /> B. bsequent thereto, and pursuant to the authority of Section 2.019 of the Eugene <br /> ode, 1971, I i sued Administrative Order No. 58-96-16 adopting an Emergency Rule amending <br /> ection 1.003 o the Park Rules, to set forth the hours that City parks are closed. That Emergency <br /> ule expired, a d its provisions should be adopted. In addition, Section 1.003 should be further <br /> ended to pro 'bit vehicular access to City parks at any time the gates at entry points are closed <br /> d signs are p sted indicating that vehicular access is prohibited. <br /> C. ule 1.007(h)4.a. should be amended to add the Park Blocks as an area in which <br /> a possession o consumption of hard liquor, malt beverages and alcoholic liquor is prohibited. <br /> D. ule 1.050(8) should be amended to delete Gilliam Park at 3055 Gilliam Road in <br /> e Willakenzie area as a dog off leash area, as the City no longer owns that property. <br /> E. ule 1.070(1) should be amended to prohibit certain acts or conduct within <br /> andscaped area of City parks. <br /> Therefo ,based upon the above findings, and pursuant to the authority of Section 2.019 <br /> f the Eugene C e, 1971, and Administrative Order No. 58-92-21, I proposed to amend the Park <br /> ules to provid <br /> 1. hat Park Rule 1.003 be amended to provide: <br /> dministrative rder Amending Park Rules - 1 9/9198 <br /> c: \data\rule\98prkrl lao.wpd <br /> <br /> I <br /> <br />
