0 5$wo~19 <br /> c~op~ <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-00-19-F <br /> ~ of the <br /> City Manager of the City of Eugene <br /> EST BLISHING FEES FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR PRIVATELY <br /> CON TRUCTED PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND REPEALING <br /> AD INISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-99-15-F <br /> The ity Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br /> i <br /> ~ A. Section 2.020 of the Eugene, Code, 1971 authorizes the City Manager to determine <br /> and set fees d charges to be imposed by the City for services, goods, use of municipal property, and <br /> licenses and ermits. <br /> B. In accordance with the procedures set forth therein, and the further authority of <br /> Section 7. I3 of the Eugene Code, 1971, on August 8, 2000, I notified the Mayor and City Council <br /> that I intende to amend the currently effective fees for engineering services for privately constructed <br /> public impro ments as established by Administrative Order No. 58-99-15-F. The Notice was also <br /> posted at t o locations at City Hall on August 13, 2000 and made available for inspection by <br /> interested p rsons at the offices of the City Manager, 777 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401, <br /> during norm business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays). <br /> The Notice p ovided that written comments would be received thereon for a period of 15 days from <br /> ~ the date of p sting. No comments were received within the time ar in the manner required by the <br /> Notice. ' <br /> i C. I find that the fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto are consistent with applicable-policies <br /> and directive of the City Council, compazable to the fees established in other jurisdictions and private <br /> businesses fo providing such services, are based on the hourly rates of engineering employees, and <br /> are necess in order to comply with the City Council's directive and the requirements of Section <br /> 7.130 of the ugene Code, 1971 that the fees charged for these services recover the City's full costs, <br /> including pla review, engineering, inspection and overhead costs. <br /> j ~ On t e basis of these findings, I order that: <br /> 1. The fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto are hereby established as the fees to be charged <br /> for the servi es set forth therein, effective 12:01 a.m., September 1, 2000. <br /> 2.
