r ~ <br /> NOTICE OF INTENDED INCREASE IN WASTEWATER SERVICE CHARGES <br /> Tb: The Mayor nd City Councilors of the City of Eugene, and other interested persons. <br /> NOTICE IS H REBY GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions ofSection 6.411 ofthe Eugene Code,1971, Administrative <br /> Ojrd r No. 58-96-10- was issued by the City Manager of the City of Eugene on May 6, 1996, establishing monthly sewer user <br /> feie effective July 1, 996 and Administrative Order No. 58-99-20-F was issued by the City Manager of the City of Eugene on <br /> Npv tuber 10, 1999, stablishing amended monthly septage user fees effective November 1, 1999. <br /> The City Ma ager has investigated the City's current revenue needs and cost of operation of the City's wastewater <br /> s ice system and r viewed the recommendation of the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission (MWMC) staff, <br /> a d as proposed to i crease the user fees for wastewater service, and regional wastewater treatment service as hereinafter <br /> s t rth. The propos d increases are necessary in order to comply with the Council's directive that the costs of providing such <br /> s 'ces be recovere from the beneficiaries of the services, and other applicable policies and directives of the City Council; <br /> a onsistent applic ble federal and state regulations and the recommendations of MWMC; comparable to the amounts <br /> cf ja ed by the City of pringfield and other such service providers; preserve the equity between different classes of ratepayers; <br /> a d re based on the roposed budgets of the City and MWMC.
