Notice of the proposed amendments was also given bymaking copies available to any
person who had requested such notice and by publication thereof in the Register Guard, a newspaper
of general circulation within the City for five consecutive days, to wit: Apri121, 22, 23, 24, and 25,
2003. The Notice provided that written comments would be received for a period of 15 days from
the date of the first publication. No comments were received within the time or in the manner
provided in the notice. However, during the comment period, staff recommended that revisions be

~ rnade to Sections containing requirements for grounding, and a new Section 5.4.8 be added to reflect
Uniform Fire Code changes in bonding and grounding requirements. Staff has also recommended
some administrative corrections to correct outdated or incorrect references. I concur with the
recommendations and the revisions have been incorporated in the Rules hereinafter set forth.
Based upon the above findings, which are hereby adopted, and pursuant to the authority
contained in Sections 2.019 and 2.430 of the Eugene Code, 1971, I hereby adopt the amendments
as noted above, repeal Administrative Order Nos. 58-95-01 and 58-98-09-F as of the effective date
of this Order, except Exhibit A to Order 5 8-95-01 and Exhibit 2 to Order 58-98-09 shall be appended
to this Order, and ratify and affirm the unamended portions of the Airport Rules as hereinafter set
forth.
Administrative Order - 1
r:\adminord\rules\03airrl2ao.wpd(OS/ 16/03)
