ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-04-12 <br /> <br /> . ~ of the <br /> City Manager of the City of Eugene <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE WASTEWATER USER FEE <br /> SCHEDULE AND REPEAL OF ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER <br /> NIO.58-03-09-F. <br /> The its Manager of the City of Eugene finds as follows: <br /> A. Section 6.411 (formerly Section 7.020) of the Eugene, Code, 1971, <br /> authorizes t e City Manager to determine and set fees and charges to be imposed by the <br /> City for was ewater service, regional wastewater service, and stormwater service. <br /> B. Pursuant to subsection (1) of Section 6.411 of the Eugene Code, 1971, I <br /> have condu ted an investigation of the revenue needs of the City in providing these <br /> services a ~ave reviewed the recommendation of the Metropolitan Wastewater <br /> Manageme t ommission (MWMC). <br /> C. Based on that investigation and MWMC's recommendation, lintend to <br /> increase th vrrastewater user fees as set forth in the Notice of Intended Increase in <br /> Wastewate Service Charges attached as Exhibit A hereto and incorporated herein by <br /> reference. he increase should be implemented and effective for all bills issued on or after <br /> July 1, 2004, except for all septage hauler fees which will be effective for all septage hauler <br /> charges inc rred on or after July 1, 2004. Upon adoption of the new fees, I will repeal <br /> Administrat' e'Order No. 58-03-09-F. <br /> On t e Ibasis of these findings, !order that: <br /> 1. copies of the Notice be provided to the Mayor and City Councilors, the news <br /> media, an p~rson who has requested notice, to interested governmental agencies <br /> (including he! United States Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of <br /> Environme tali Quality, the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission, and the <br /> Eugene W tee & Electric Board), posted at two locations at City Hall, published on two <br /> separate o cations in the Register Guard, a newspaper of general circulation within the <br /> City, and b made available for inspection by interested persons at the ofFices of the Public <br /> Works Dep rtMent, 858 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401, during normal business <br /> hours (8:00 a.~n. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays). <br /> 2. he Notice shall provide that all persons desiring to comment on the <br /> proposed f e may submit written comments to the City Manager at 777 Pearl Street, <br /> Eugene, O e on 97401 within 10 days of the first date of publication and posting as <br /> indicated in the Notice, or at the public hearing to be held on the 10th day of June, 2004, at <br /> the McNutt,~Rgom of Eugene City Hall, 777 Pearl Street, Eugene, Oregon 97401 between <br /> Administrative Order -Page 1 <br /> Q:UNFO\UserFee~\Rates\04WastewaterUserFees - 1 ao (00086895).DOC <br /> I <br /> <br />
