t' <br /> NOTICE OF INTENDED AMENDMENT OF WASTEWATER USER FEE SCHEDULE <br /> To: The Mayor and City Councilors of the City of Eugene, and other interested persons. <br /> NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.411 of the Eugene Code, 1971, <br /> the City Manager intends to amend the Wastewater User Fee Schedule established by Administrative Order No. 58- <br /> OS-04-F on June 2, 2005, which became effective June 12, 2005. <br /> The City Manager has investigated the revenue needs of the City in providing wastewater services and <br /> proposes to amend the Wastewater User Fee Schedule based on: (1) the amount charged for the services in the past; <br /> (2) the recommendation of the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission (MWMC); (3) applicable federal <br /> and state regulations; (4) amounts charged by the City of Springfield and other such service providers for <br /> comparable services; (5) the revenue needs for costs related to local and regional sewerage facilities; (6) other <br /> relevant adopted policies of the council; (7) the terms of any applicable intergovernmental agreement relating to <br /> wastewater; and (8) obtaining equity between different classes of ratepayers. <br /> The current monthly rates charged for wastewater service and regional wastewater treatment service, and the <br /> proposed rates to be charged effective on all bills issued on or after July 1, 2006, within the City of Eugene's service <br /> area for such services both inside and outside the City of Eugene, are as follows: <br /> WASTEWATER USER FEE SCHEDULE <br /> (Effective for all bills issued on or after July 1, 2006) <br /> RATE COMPONENT CURRENT PROPOSED <br /> RATE RATE <br /> RESIDENTIAL: <br /> Per Account Fee: <br /> City of Eugene No Charge No Charge <br /> MWMC $6.00 ~ $6.60 <br /> Sanitary Sewer Flow-Based Charge per 1,000 Gallons of Water Used: <br /> City of Eugene $1.192 $1.264 <br /> MWMC $1.192 $1.310 <br /> Total flow-based charge per 1,000 gallons of water used $2.384 $2.574 <br /> TYPICAL RESIDENTIAL BILLING $17.92 $19.47 <br /> (Per Account charge + 5 times the total flow based charge) <br /> COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL: <br /> Per Account Fee, All CommerciaUIndustrial Classes: <br /> City of Eugene No Charge No Charge <br /> <br /> Exhibit A Notice -Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br />
