All streets within the project area will be cleared of <br /> constructi n equipment and the full street width will be opened for the Butte to Butte Race on <br /> July 4. Project <br /> funding is oming from stormwater system development charges, stormwater user fees, and <br /> local gas t x revenues. <br /> ~i <br /> Ot r Pavement Preservation Pro'ects <br /> Ina dition to the major road repair projects scheduled to begin June 19, the City of <br /> Eugene ha an acfive summer street maintenance program and additional overlay and slurry <br /> seal projec scheduled to start later this summer. <br /> ~I Thi week, crews from Public Works Maintenance this week began crack sealing more <br /> than 20 mil s of city streets. A hot tar material is poured into cracks to seal the surface and <br /> prevent wat r from seeping through the asphalt and eroding the subsurface. Streets typically <br /> remain ope while crack sealing takes place, but motorists and cyclists should anticipate lane <br /> detours and occasional brief delays. <br /> Stre is scheduled for overlays later this summer include Arthur and Garfield streets (11tH <br /> i, <br /> to 18tH aven es), 40tH Avenue (Donald to Willamette streets), 43`d Avenue (Fox Hollow to <br /> Donald), Do ald Street (40tH to 46~'), Patterson Street (East Broadway to 13tH Avenue), Seneca <br /> ~ Road (7~' to 11tH avenues), and Washington Street (6tH to Stn avenues).
