The public workshop will be held at Gilham Community Church, 3633 Gilham Rd, <br /> E~gene. <br /> The focus of the fir t workshop will be to share with the neighborhood some general information about parks, and <br /> gather input from eighbors and interested parties to help inform the design process. No plans have been made <br /> fo the park as of t. Parks and Open Space staff will host two or three public workshops aimed at closely <br /> in~olving the neigh orhood in setting the direction for the park design. The process generally takes four to six <br /> months, dependin on a number of factors. <br /> Tl~e City of Eugen Parks and Open Space Division purchased the property in 2000 using funds from the 1998 <br /> Parks and Open S ace bond measure. Parks SDC (Systems Development Charge] funding is now available for <br /> improvements to reekside Park. Neighborhood parks, which serve residents within about ahalf-mile walking <br /> distance, include t e following: a children's play area, accessible pathways, park furniture such as benches, picnic <br /> tables, trash recep acles, and open space for recreation and relaxation.
