The 30~foot long IJttle Willamette River runs <br /> through the playground and is crossed by a "kid powered" ferry. The Kalapuya Village invites children to explore <br /> the life of the earliest known inhabitants in our area with a summer dwelling, dug out canoe, and the 8-foot Roin <br /> Circle Plaza which marks the beginning of the Little Willamette River. In the PioneerVillage, a host of old-time <br /> Eugene buildings, based on actual structures, invite creative play of the early days, including a city hall, jail, school <br /> house, and mercantile. <br /> The Eugene Rotary Ciub selected RiverPldy as their Rotary Centennial Project, celebrating 100 years of Rotary in <br /> America. The Eugene Rotary Club is a 290-member strong service organization established in 1923 with a long and <br /> successful history of involvement in vita{ community projects. <br /> Donors for the 'project include: Meyer Memorial Trust, Eugene New Car Dealers Association, Kelley Family <br /> Foundation, Van Evera and Janet M.
