At the Ancient History Sand Dig children con search for <br /> arrowheads, ancient scone tools, and a life size ichthyosaur fossil. The 30-foot long Little Willamette River runs <br /> through the playground and is crossed by a "kid powered" ferry. The Kalapuya Village invites children to explore <br /> the life of the eorliest known inhabitants in our area with a summer dwelling, dug out conoe, and the 8-foot Rain <br /> Circle Place which marks the beginning of the Little Willamette River. In the Pioneer Village, a host of old-time <br /> Eugene buildings, based on actual structures, invite creotive play of the early days, including o city hall, jail, school <br /> house, and mercantile. <br /> The Eugene Rotary Club selected RiverPlay as their Rotary Centennial Project, celebrating 100 years of Rotary in <br /> America.
