_ - <br /> ~ I > _ ~ <br /> July 7, 200 <br /> CONTACT: David Roth, Public Works Engineering, <br /> From Publi Information Section, 682-5523 or 954-2938 <br /> FOR IMME IATE RELEASE <br /> Tour of Local Bicycle Manufacturers Slated for Friday, July 14 <br /> A bi ing tour of the local bicycle manufacturing industry will be held Friday, July 14. <br /> The "Tour de Eugene Bike Builders" will provide members of the public with an opportunity <br /> to visit four rominent bicycle manufacturers -all based in Eugene -and see what goes on within <br /> each of the small- to medium-sized facilities. <br /> The tour begins at the Lane County Fairgrounds Wheeler Building Pavilion at 2:30 p.m. <br /> Stops inclu a (in order): Co-Motion Cycles, 4765 Pacific Avenue; Burley Design, 4020 Stewart <br /> Road; Bike Friday, 3364 West 11th Avenue; concluding at the Center for Appropriate Transport, <br /> 455 West F rst Avenue, between 5 and 5:30 p.m. The City has made economic development <br /> loans throu h the Business Development Loan Program to encourage business formation and <br /> expansion arty in Burley's development and more recently to Bike Friday and Co-Motion. <br /> Part cipants are asked to bring a bike and a helmet.
