The People <br /> Powered F stival celebrates the end of July-in-Motion, a campaign that encourages community <br /> members t use anon-motorized method of transportation at least one day a week during July. <br /> The People Powered Festival will include live music from local band Riffle, playing a <br /> variety of m sic from the `80s and `90s, an exhibition from the McCornack Unicycle Club, the <br /> Maltese Ful rum kinetic sculpture and eccentric wheeled scooters (whymcycles or hiccup bikes), <br /> free ice cre m from Prince Pucklers, and information and prizes from local bike shops and <br /> manufactur rs. There will also be a chance to meet with some members of local biking, bike <br /> racing, and alking clubs. The Center for Appropriate Transportation (CAT) will be on hand to <br /> provide fre valet bicycle parking. <br /> For hose who have not registered yet -there is still time! By registering, participants are <br /> making a c mmitment to use non-motorized transportation at least one day a week for the rest of <br /> July (or eve the rest of the summer) and are eligible to win prizes like the 2005-2006 Chinook <br /> Book and g ft certificates to local bike shops, restaurants, and other local businesses.
