<br /> August 16, 006 <br /> CONTACT: Patrick Cox, Project Manager, 541-682-6854 <br /> Steve Thomas, Airport Operations Supervisor, 541-682-5044 <br /> From Publi Information Section, 682-5523 or 954-2938 <br /> FOR IMME IATE RELEASE <br /> Traffic Advisory <br /> G een Hill Road to Be Closed from Clear Lake to Airport Road for 10 Days <br /> The esterly section of Green Hill Road between Clear Lake and Airport roads will be <br /> closed for c nstruction for approximately 10 days beginning Thursday, August 17. <br /> Cre s from Wildish Construction will be completing the tie-in of the westerly section of <br /> Green Hill oad to the new alignment of Airport Road and installing wastewater pipes and other <br /> undergroun utilities. When the tie-in and underground work have been completed, crews will <br /> finish the fi al connection at the east end of Airport Road. The realigned portion of Airport Road, <br /> including th realigned intersections with both the westerly and easterly sections of Green Hill <br /> Road, is sc eduled to be open for traffic in early September. <br /> Whil Green Hill Road is closed, motorists will be directed to use Highway 99 and Airport <br /> Road to ac ess the airport, commercial facilities on Airport Road, or other locations north or south <br /> of the airpo . <br /> The realignment of Airport Road provides a safer distance between vehicles on Airport <br /> Road and p anes using the new parallel runway at the airport.
