City Councilor, Chris Pryor will help dedicate the park and park <br /> planne will be on hand to discuss changes that have taken place. <br /> Improv ments to the park were preceded by o series of three workshops with <br /> neighb rs to gather their ideas for the park's development plan. In the eflnd, o new <br /> sidewa'Ik winding around the park was constructed; the play area was relocated, <br /> update and expanded; and new site furnishings were added. The resulting project <br /> has gr atly improved safety, accessibility and play value of this highly utilized <br /> neighb rhood pork. A majority of the funding for the project came from a CDBG <br /> neighb rhood block grant. Acorn Park is bordered by Acorn Street to the, east and <br /> I <br /> Buck S eet to the west. <br /> <br />
