The hearing is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m in the Council Chamber, 777 Pearl St. The proposed monthly fee would be charged to all homes and businesses in the city of Eugene to ay for operating, maintaining and preserving the city's transportation system. The TSMF prop sal is designed to augment the local motor vehicle fuel tax and provide locally controlled, ustainable revenue to maintain the existing level of transportation services and reduce the acklog of needed street repairs. . The current estimate is that asingle-family home would pay a TSMF charge of approximat ly $5.22 per month. Other residential units such as apartments would be charged a slightly sm Iler amount per dwelling unit. Commercial and industrial properties would be charged based prim rily on the number of trips they generate.
