Lane County Public Works can only conduct leaf pick-ups on County- <br /> maintai ed roads. The county has been quietly providing this service since 1990. <br /> Leaf Pr aration Guidelines <br /> • eaves must be in the roadway, but piled away from parked cars, storm drains and <br /> tters, bike and traffic lanes, and curbs. Leaves piled in the street improperly or <br /> rematurely can plug storm drains, pollute local waterways, and create hazards <br /> r bicyclists and motorists. Individuals, who deposit leaves in a bike or traffic <br /> 1 ne, are ultimately responsible for the hazard created. <br /> • ane County cannot pick up leaves in private yards. <br /> • eep leaves free from other debris such as branches, rocks, metal, and lawn <br /> lippings. <br /> • on't bag leaves. <br /> • repare leaves less than a week before the schedule.
