The parking lot is expected to <br /> reopen around 10:30 a.m. for passengers who are arriving on plane flights only. ; <br /> Updates will be provided after 10:30 a. m. regarding the status of Airport access for <br /> people traveling into the airport from Eugene. <br /> PREViOUS''DETAILS <br /> At 6:21 a.m. Eugene Police responded to a call of a suspicious device found during <br /> routine screening of baggage at the Eugene Airport. The terminal has been <br /> evacuated and roads into the airport are closed at this time. The Explosives Disposal <br /> Unit has arrived and is investiga#ing. <br /> A person associated with the suspicious item was on a flight to Denver. That flight <br /> has landed and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Transportation Safety <br /> i Administration will contact the passenger. <br /> ~ The Eugene Airport terminal and parking lot remain locked down while public safety <br /> officials investigate. The suspicious item has been removed from the airport and is <br /> being examined by.the FBI and Eugene Police Explosives Unit. <br /> j <br /> <br />
