The night light festivities will begin with a competition for the best illuminated and best decorated bikes at 8 p.m. Past slug queens Slugretha Latifah Uleafa Gastropodia, Inspira, Scarlett, and Frank from prior Eugene Celebrations will be passing their royal judgment on the competition for Best Illumination and Best Decorated Bike. For those looking to add bike decor, a limited supply of decorations will be available at 7:30 p.m. The parade, which circles the perimeter of the Eugene Celebration, begins at promptly at 8:30 p.m. Door prizes will be offered throughout the event, and the first 50 cyclists to arrive and participate in the parade will receive free weekend passes to the Eugene Celebration. The Bike Lights Parade is part of the City of Eugene's ongoing bike safety education outreach and is funded in part through a grant from the Community Cycling Center and in partnership with Lane Transit District and Commuter Solutions.
