From Public Information Section, 682-5523 or 954-2938 FOR IMME IATE RELEASE Public Comments Sought On Stormwater Management Plan The ity of Eugene is seeking public comments on proposed revisions to the city's Stormwater anagement Plan (SWMP). Eug ne's SWMP is the set of best management practices that reflects the city's commitmen under its federal National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) stormwater ischarge permit to reduce pollutants to the maximum extent practicable. The city's current NP ES permit will expire in February 2009. In preparation for the permit renewal, the City has ev luated its SWMP to ensure that it continues to meet the objectives of the Clean Water Act a d is proposing several modifications. Fact sheets about the proposed revisions are available at City offices, including the Public Work Building, 858 Pearl St.; the Permit & Information Center, 99 West 10th Ave.; the Water Pollu ion Control Facility, 410 F2iver Ave.; and Eugene City Hall, 777 Pearl St. To s bmit comments, or for more information, residents can go to the Internet at www.eugen -or.gov/pw (click on the NPDES link).
